45 Players Left Standing in WPT World Championship's Chase for $5.67 Million
Play in the WPT World Championship continues in Las Vegas. This event could not break the record guarantee of forty million dollars, but it still became one of the brightest events of the year.
After four days of action-packed action, only 45 players remained at the tables (out of 3,835 starting entries). Each of the remaining participants is guaranteed a payout of $111,300, and the winner will receive $5,670,000 in prize money.
The main contenders for this prize are the chip leaders Canadian Mark Mounsey (94 BB), the French Maxime Chilaud (89.5 BB) and the Chinese Ren Lin (89 BB). Also the famous power couple is still remaining in the game – Kristen Foxen and Alex Foxen, who even played Day 4 at the same table.
Another interesting player in the game is American reality TV star and former stripper Princess Love. Princess, known for her appearance on the reality TV show "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood" and married to singer Ray J, is competing in a high-pressure poker environment for the first time. Her husband is supporting her at the event. As the event heads into Day 5, Princess Love faces a challenging situation with her chip stack at 3,625,000, placing her 38th out of the 45 remaining players.
The game will resume tomorrow. The structure of the event is deep and smooth, so all participating participants have a good chance of making it to the final table. And the champion will be determined on Thursday, December 21.
