Andrew Lichtenberger wins Venetian High Roller Event #6

Andrew Lichtenberger 2021

Andrew Lichtenberger is the one to win the Venetian High Roller Event #6. After a three-way deal, Andrew will apparently spend a luxury weekend, because he secured his second title and a $125 350 first place prize.

The 14-player field created a prize pool of $350 000. This money, by the way, was intended for the two finalists, as only two players could enter the ITM zone according to the tournament rules.

Chris Brewer left the tournament in 4th place (on the bubble) after he moved all-in for 139 000 chips. He played A-6 against Katz's pocket jacks. Cary flopped a set, but he was in danger as Brewer could still hit a flush. The turn and river cards did not help Chris, so the poker player finished his participation with nothing.

The three remaining players had almost equal stacks. Instead of playing the $105 000 bubble, the guys decided to pause the tournament and split prize money by ICM, so they can then head home to rest:

  • Andrew Lichtenberger – $125 000
  • Cary Katz – $121 000
  • Nick Petrangelo – $103 000

The Venetian DeepStack series is ongoing, and in the coming week, we will get the new champions’ names. Follow the news on our website!

I’ve been working in the Cardmates team since 2018. Started playing poker the same way most people usually do – socially, with friends and fellow students. I adored those exciting poker nights but never thought my life would be connected with this game, even tangentially.
