Poker has been actively developing as a game through the years. Thus, over time, new variations and formats of poker have appeared.

Professional poker players often try to play new kinds of poker and share their impressions of the «tested» game.

The other day, the WSOP bracelet holder and Maine Event Aussie Millions 2016 champion Alan "Ari" Engel asked his followers on the Twitter page if they had heard of such a poker variation called «Archie».

Other famous poker players did not ignore this poll. The Main Event WPT 2019 winner and WSOP bracelet owner David "ODB" Baker commented on Alan's the question:

Another WSOP champion, Bryce Yockey, agreed with Baker in the comments under the poll and said that it’s the only type of poker, which he, quite frankly, does not like.

Nevertheless, not all poker pros shared these opinions. Hence, Daniel Zack who won the $2 500 Limit Mixed Triple Draw at the WSOP wrote that he considers Archie to be a great game.

Archie is a variation of draw poker, namely a triple-draw high / low pot split game.
