Badziakouski and Martirosyan started the heads-up with equal stacks, and the struggle lasted about an hour. In the final hand, Martirosyan limped with Q♠-6♠ against Badziakouski’s K♥-9♦.

The flop showed 6♥-6♣-7♥, meaning that Artur hit trips. Then, 10♥ that appeared on the turn gave Badziakouski a flush draw, after which Martirosyan went all-in. The Belarusian called his opponent’s all-in, and it wasn’t in wain since 5♥ on the river brought him a flash of hearts and insured Mikita’s victory in the tournament.

It is worth noting that on the eve of this event, Sam Trickett took down the NL Hold'em tournament at the MILLIONS High Roller Sochi, having experienced a very similar final hand (Trickett also hit a flush on the river).

After winning the tournament, Badziakouski almost immediately entered the Hold'em 6+ tournament with the same buy-in, but could not survive longer than level 13 in it.
