Badziakouski wins the €100 000 tournament at EPT Barcelona

A series of hot and expensive live events on the European Poker Tour in Barcelona continues to bring new champions to the poker community.

Among the new champions of EPT Barcelona there is also a very popular and most successful tournament player from Belarus Mikita Badziakouski.

This year, Badziakouski has already gotten a lot of big winnings on live high roller series. In April, at SHRS Europe in the $50 000 Short Deck event, he earned $756 000 for first place.

The Belarusian high roller decided not to stop there and already in May at the Triton Poker Series Madrid he received an impressive $1 407 000 for winning the $52 800 tournament.

Naturally, when EPT Barcelona started, Mikita could not pass by. He managed to win the Super High Roller tournament with a huge buy-in of €100 000.

The EPT Barcelona €100 000 Super High Roller managed to collect 68 entries at its tables, which generated a huge total prize pool of €6 597 360. As champion, Nikita received an impressive payout of €1,979,220.

The Belarusian faced the famous American high roller Erik Seidel in heads-up. Eric earned €1 286 490 for the runner-up place. Canadian poker player Timothy Adams also made it to the final table, receiving a payout of €540 980 in fifth place. He was followed by the Dutch poker player Teun Meulder in sixth place with a prize pool of €415 630. Last but not the least at the final table was Nick Petrangelo, who earned €247 400.

The final hand of the tournament started with an all-in from Badziakouski with A♣-4♣. Seidel promptly called with Q♥-Q♠. 

The players saw A♦-10♣-3♥-J♣-10♥ on the board, Seidel's queens lost against the overpair and Badziakouski became the champion of the tournament.
