Dan Bilzerian talks about $100 million match against Alec Gores

King of Instagram and GGPoker brand ambassador, Dan Bilzerian, often hits the poker media headlines. The playboy has been recently spotted at a private party in Las Vegas, organized by GGPoker.

In an interview with a PokerNews reporter, Dan said that he would not join the World Series of Poker this year, explaining the reasoning behind it. As it turns out, Bilzerian is unwilling to participate in the WSOP as he is not ready to spend so much time on poker tournaments.

Being interviewed, the Instagram star took the opportunity to advertise his new book titled "Setup", of course. This is an autobiography, so it features the main events of Dan’s life, including expensive poker matches against billionaire Alec Gores.

The reporter could not but ask Dan about the possible upcoming $100 million heads-up between him and the aforementioned Israeli billionaire.

The poker community expected to find out details of the poker battle, but Dan gave no updates. Bilzerian insists that Gores twice challenged him for a heads-up match and that both times he accepted the offers:

"Not really, he basically challenged me twice and I accepted twice, so I'm just kind of waiting for him to pony up".

However, Alec has not yet responded. Maybe he is afraid of such a poker shark as Dan Bilzerian.

"I've tried to set it up twice already, but he hasn't wired the money", Bilzerian said off-camera.

One way or another, pretty soon we’ll see the denouement of this story.

I’ve been working in the Cardmates team since 2018. Started playing poker the same way most people usually do – socially, with friends and fellow students. I adored those exciting poker nights but never thought my life would be connected with this game, even tangentially.
