Brian Rust won the fifth WSOP bracelet

​Another tournament finished at WSOP 2021. Brian Rust won WSOP #51 event with $3 000 buy-in and managed to get the 5th gold bracelet in his career.

In total, Brian won about $22 million in live tournaments, but today's triumph became a valuable one for him.  

Rust commented on his victory and said about mixed emotions, in particular the relief. Since COVID, he hasn’t played poker for almost a year and a half. This became like a challenge for him.

At the final table, Brian’s wife Juliane supported him. The champion told reporters that his wife has little interest in poker, but when Brian plays in the final, Juliane always supports him.

It took four hours to narrow the players’ filled of final table to the 7 participants. Several famous players also took part in the event, but they were eliminated prior to final table. This is about two-time bracelet winner Georgios Sotiropoulos (24th place and $19 187 of prize money) and Manig Loeser (33rd place with $12 826 payout).

In heads-up, Rust fought against John Gallaher. In the last hand, K-10 turned out to be stronger than Q-10 and the champion was awarded. The runner-up also received a good payout of $293 000.
