Canadian player won the 3rd title at WPT

Canadian poker pro Eric Afriat became one of the players who won three or more titles at WPT. He managed to achieve such a result after the winning in Fallsview Main Event tournament in the 18th season of this championship.

Afriat got his first WPT title after the triumph in NLH Championship tournament for $3 500 in the 12th season of series. He earned $1 081 000 for the first place in the event. Eric obtained his second title after the winning $3 500 tournament at WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open Championship, which was carried out as part of the 16th season of WPT Borgata Winter Poker Open. He earned $651 900 for the first place.

In addition to Afriat, the following players are among the record holders on WPT titles: Darren Elias, Gus Hansen, Carlos Mortensen, Anthony Zinno.   

Eric earned $379 100 for the victory in Fallsview Main Event by beating 594 entrants. In heads-up, he fought against the Canadian player Marc-Olivier Carpentier-Perrault. In the final hand, Afriat outplayed his opponent with a pair of pocket sevens.  

Another Canadian player Adam Hui finished third and he enriched with $170 900.
