Cash Game Leaderboards at PartyPoker: prize pool increased up to $150K

PartyPoker 2020

On February 10, PartyPoker launched the Cash Game Leaderboards – weekly rake race that includes eight leaderboards (4 for Hold'em and 4 for Omaha) for cash games with the guarantee totaling to $100 000, distributed across these leaderboards.

Just the other day, the PartyPoker team decided to boost the total prize fund of the weekly race up to $150 000.

First of all, the prize fund of each leaderboard in both Omaha and Hold'em was changed.

The prize fund of the Micro Leaderboard increased from $5 050 to $5 205, while it was reduced from $20 025 to $15 850 in the Low Leaderboard. Also, in these leaderboards, the number of prize places was cut from 250 to 75 (in the Micro Leaderboard) and to 30 (in the Low Leaderboard).

The Medium Leaderboard (in both Omaha and Hold'em) received a considerable increase of $10 000, and the prize pool of the High Leaderboard (with $250/$1 000 limits) was boosted nearly three times – from $11 000 to $30 000.

Such changes should please the PartyPoker regulars, as well as increase players’ activity at higher stakes. The poker room’s partner, Rob Yong also stated on Twitter that he and the PartyPoker team would continue to work on extending the total prize pool in this rake race.
