Chance Kornuth is in the lead in Galfond's Challenge

Heads-up battle between Galfond and Kornuth continues, and the leader will change more than once. Now, 12 sessions have been played and Chance Kornuth is in the lead. However before that, Galfond won in almost every session.    

Chance Kornuth surprises his viewers with his results in Pot Limit Omaha, in which he has to play 35 000 hands against Galfond. Before the start of battle, Chance played as an outsider.

Change of leading position in battle

During the first ten sessions, Galfond utterly and completely controlled the fight and he was ahead. Then the situation changed, as did the leader of this challenge.

On Tuesday, after the two wins in a row, Kornuth played his best session to date. He made a profit of $150 000 by completely eliminating the previous $280 000 deficit. The poker coach started the session on Wednesday with an advantages of about $33 000.

Now, 6 400 hands have been played in a heads-up battle between Galfond and Kornuth. Nevertheless, this is only 20% of the total amount of hands that poker players plan to play. Thus, it is too early to talk about chances of winning, since both poker players have approximately equal chances.
