PokerStars began to actively change its Ambassadors. Recently, the famous Russian poker player and streamer Mikhail Shalamov left PokerStars Team. He announced such a decision in his pre-new year video.

However, on the eve of New Year, it became known about the leaving of another famous poker pro – Chris "Money800" Moneymaker.

On the last day of 2020, Chris posted a video on Twitter about his leaving PokerStars Team Pro.

Chris Moneymaker had a lasting collaboration with PokerStars since 2003. This year, he managed to come into the spotlight after the victory at WSOP Main Event by being an amateur player.

In fact, we can thank Chris Moneymaker for popularization of online poker all over the world, because he managed to turn $39 into $2 500 000 in one tournament. After this big victory, the popularity of online poker increased dramatically throughout the world and poker community began to call this state of affairs as "Moneymaker Effect".

It turns out that PokerStars lost two of its "oldest Ambassadors" before the New Year.
