Conor Beresford became Player of the Year 2020

Until recently, the famous poker player from the UK Conor Beresford has been considered the most successful MTT player online. He plays mainly at PokerStars under the nickname "1_conor_b_1".

For most of the last year, Conor was number one in the list of the world's online players according to PocketFives. And so, he managed to become Player of the Year 2020 according to the given poker resource. Beresford was awarded this title in a "tough competitive fight". He managed to get ahead of the Brazilian Bruno "bbotteon" Botteon.

Connor ranked so high at the beginning of last year after the victory at GGPoker tournament for $2 020, which brought him $611 130. This prize money became the biggest one in his career.

In addition to this result, he also earned $70 580 in POWERFEST tournament at PartyPoker. Then, he managed to become a champion in the three big high roller tournaments at PokerStars, which solidified his lead in the ranking. In total, he earned $798 290 in these three tournaments.

At the beginning of this year, Connor is ranked 6th, while Botteon is the first one. So, Beresford will need a lot of effort to become a leader.
