Dan Cates struck a double blow to PartyPoker

Daniel Cates 2019

American professional Daniel Cates, aka Jungleman12, is considered an "old stager" in the poker industry. For almost 10 years, the player has been showing excellent results in cash games and tournaments both live and online.

Thus, the guy struck a double blow to PartyPoker on Sunday. Dan managed to scoop two events: partypoker MILLION with a buy-in of $215 and $5 200 High Roller Big Game. He performs on the given platform under the Junglemandan screen name.

Partypoker MILLION

This tournament is held on a weekly basis at PartyPoker. The buy-in is set at the mark of $215 and the guarantee is equal to $1 million.

On November 24, the event took place with an overlay (and this is not the first time), which worked to the advantage of players who got in the money – 664 participants. Cates was lucky enough to take down the event, having received as much as $153 000 for the first place.

Sunday Big Game

The Big Game is another tournament taking place every week at Partypoker. The buy-in equals $5 200, which is a pretty big amount so that not many players can afford it. However, the last event attracted 74 entries, and this allowed to create a prize pool of $370 000, instead of $300 000.

Jungleman couldn’t pass by this tournament, and as it turned out later, this wasn’t in vain. As a result, the American won the Big Game and was awarded $105 450 for finishing first. Overall, for two victories Dan Cates received $258 450 in prize money.

It’s also worth mentioning that a week ago, Bill Perkins, a recreational player and billionaire, took down this very event, which means that Sunday Big Game is a popular tournament among poker stars.
