Daniel Negreanu won’t play with re-entry in 2020
The tournaments with re-entry became an inherent part in the poker world. Previously, freezeout was the main format of the poker event and only 1 entry was allowed. After losing all the chips, the players hadn’t chances to become a winner of the tournament.
Now, the situation has changed. In most events, the organizers allow the participants to make as many re-entries as they want in order to form the huge prize pools.

Despite this, some players began to stand against the tournaments’ re-entries. Daniel Negreanu is not an exception and he wrote the post in his Twitter:
I’m also considering playing all of 2020 with no reentry.

That means I won’t cash as often.
Won’t make as many final tables, but at least I won’t be taking part in something I don’t thing should exist, or at least be the norm.
Some other players agreed with Negreanu's opinion. Thus, Greg Merson stated that re-entry is one of the reasons according to which he practically stopped playing in the tournaments. Frank Kassela, in turn, considers that re-entry should be prohibited.
