Dante Goya's Astounding Comeback from Two Big Blinds to WSOP Paradise PLO Champion

Dante Goya makes a comeback and gets WSOP Paradise PLO champion title

During the battle for the last bracelet at the WSOP Paradise series, Brazilian Dante Goya Fernandes make a comeback that will be remembered by festival participants for a long time. The story of the "comeback of the month" happened in the PLO Championship with a buy-in of $10,000.

The Omaha event attracted 104 entries and $1,040,000 in prize money. Only 16 players made it to the ITM zone, and 13 of them made it to the final day of the last bracelet event in the Bahamas.

The Brazilian entered the top 3 with the smallest stack – at one point he was left with only two blinds in the game. But several successful all-ins allowed him not only to become the chip leader, but also to win the tournament. For first place, Dante Goya received $277,700 in prize money along with a bracelet.

Before this victory, Fernandes had only one final table in the WSOP series – in 2022, he managed to reach the final of the mixed NLH/PLO tournament with a buy-in of $5,000. According to the Brazilian poker player, the first place in the WSOP tournament "means a lot" to him.

"That was really insane. I was very lucky three-handed," commented the winner.
