EPT High Roller: American player Hunichen won €840,000

EPT High Roller tournament with €10,300 buy-in finished at EPT Barcelona. The players Chris Hunichen and Uri Reichenstein met in a heads-up and made a deal. As a result, Chris became the winner of EPT High Roller and won €841,345. Reichenstein took the second place and earned €794,415.  

Hunichen called his victory at EPT High Roller unforgettable. He is known online under the nickname "BigHuni" and is a big fan of high roller tournaments. This victory became the largest one in Hunichen’s career, but it is not the first time when he won six-figure sums.

In February this year, he won $858,000 for the second place in USPO #10 100K NLH Main Event. In January he earned $627 000 and took the 3rd place in PCA Super High Roller for $100,000. In total, he has $6,650,000 won in the live events.

The second place on EPT High Roller for Reichenstein became one of the best results in his poker career. Over the past three years, the poker player floated into the money 11 times in Barcelona casino. His best result is €807,000 for the second place in EPT Main Event in Barcelona in 2016.  

Hunichen and Reichenstein said that they were pleased to make a deal. Swedish player Andreas Berger took the 3rd place and won €451,520. In total, there were 504 entries in the tournament. The prize pool of EPT High Roller was €5 238 000.
