Female chess player won Sunday tournament at PokerStars PA

Jennifer Shahade is a professional chess player who became a grandmaster in 2005. She has participated in the Olympics as part of the US national team three times and won a silver medal in 2004.

Recently, Shahade has discovered a new hobby – poker. PokerStars has even offered her to become the poker room’s ambassador, and now you can meet Jennifer at PokerStars PA online tables. The other day, the poker room hosted the PASCOOP series that included ten events, in nine of which the claimed guarantee was beaten.

The American chess player Shahade took part in one of them. 442 players secured a prize pool of $78 492, and after eight hours of playing, there were three players left in the event, including PokerStars Ambassador – Jennifer Shahade.

In the top 3, players made a deal and continued to fight for an additional $1 500 and the PASCOOP title. Jennifer broadcast the final table action on her Twitch channel, so that the girl’s fans could watch her play. Shahade managed to reach the heads-up, in which she was opposed by "Jonny LeGOAT".

In the last hand, Jennifer symbolically collected a pair of queens and took down the tournament!

For the victory, Shahade received $11 527 in prize money. She promised to donate part of this amount to the fund to combat COVID-19.
