German Sensation: Stanislav Zegal Crowned WSOP Paradise Champion in Main Event

Stanislav Zegal wins WSOP Paradise Main Event

Just yesterday, the final table was formed in the prestigious key event in the series in the Bahamas, and already the name of the lucky winner who became the official winner is known. A little-known poker player from Germany, Stanislav Zegal, became the first ever champion of the WSOP Paradise Series Main Event

Having qualified for the tournament through the online satellite for just "a few bucks", Zegal managed to get through a field of 3,010 entries, reach the final table, knock out all his opponents in just four hours, beat the Czech Michael Sklenicka in heads-up and win the tournament's top prize of astonishing $2,000,000.

"I was very lucky, I had good cards throughout the tournament," the winner said in an interview. "I think I played well too, but I have to give credit to my luck... That win, that's what you call life-changing money, I guess."

It is worth noting that before this victory, Zegal had only a little more than $32,000 in prize money for his professional career, which he started in 2016.

He managed to qualify for such an expensive tournament thanks to satellites at GGPoker.

When asked what he plans to do next and how winning seven-figure prizes will change his life, Zegal answered:

"I think I'm going to do things for myself, more for my health, learn more about poker and just enjoy time with my friends and family... But I'm definitely not going to play at higher limits. I am comfortable at my level".
