German streamer sets Twitch viewership record
2020 has been a year of record-breaking poker streams on Twitch. Their popularity is constantly growing, and more and more people are watching poker battles live on Twitch channels.
In May, the renowned poker streamer and Pokerstars representative, Lex Veldhuis, set a record for the highest number of viewers on a poker stream (58 416) while broadcasting his play at the SCOOP 2020 Main Event.

The record stood for about three months, and in August, the figure increased by 30 000. German TV presenter and streamer Jens Knossalla became the new record holder for the number of online viewers.
Jens' friend took part in the $1 050 Stadium Series event, and the streamer broadcast everything that was going on at the online table live on Twitch. Following the results of the tournament, Knossalla's friend became a runner-up and received $117 400 in prize money for second place.
It should be noted that Knosalla has nothing to do with poker. He is known as a popular German TV presenter and owner of popular Twitch and YouTube channels.
Jens boasts several million subscribers and, who knows, maybe after such a successful stream, he will start playing online poker to attract even more viewers.
