GGPoker is among the poker rooms belonging to the GG Network, as well as a perfect place to play poker for people from around the world. It provides modern software, variety of great promotions, 24/7 schedule of exciting games and tournaments.
Early in 2020, the GG Network pleased poker community by introducing new & large-scale tournaments with a deep structure called GG Masters. These events were developed with assistance from Daniel Negreanu who now represents GGPoker.
GG Masters details
GG Masters is a regular Sunday tournament of the poker room (and the entire GG Network), which takes place every Sunday at 4:00 pm (UTC). This special event has a buy-in of $150 and a prize pool of $300 000, which makes the tournament a sweet spot.
The network charges 8% rake from the buy-in as tournament fee that equals to $12, and the rest $138 is sent to form the prize pool amount.
In addition, the GG Masters attracts poker players as it’s held in the freezeout format, meaning that there is no possibility to make a rebuy or re-entry. All participants are under same conditions – just one attempt to get in the money. If you lose all your chips, you have no chances to get back to the tournament and continue fighting for the prizes.
GGPoker users are able to join the event during the period of late registration that lasts for three hours. The GG Masters has a deep structure with blinds rising every 12 minutes (from level 15 every 15 minutes) and a starting stack amounting to 10 000 chips, which is 200 BB. The maximal number of players at the table is equal to 8, but the final table includes 9 seats.
As for the bubble, it will be finalized when the registration closes. The option of bubble protection is also available, so that the buy-in amount will be compensated if the participant gets eliminated from the event at the bubble stage.
How to qualify for GG Masters
For players who can’t afford $150 buy-in to play in this Sunday tournament, GGPoker has prepared lots of qualifiers and step satellites held during the week. Thus, it’s possible to enter the GG Masters event by playing qualifying tournaments for $15, as well as go through step satellites starting from $1,50.

GG Masters Leaderboard
The highlight of the tournament is a special leaderboard “Player of the Year”, the winner of which will not only receive the main prize of $500 000, but also become the GG Network ambassador. Every time you reach the ITM zone of the GG Masters, you will be awarded with points toward the leaderboard. The number of points depends on the finishing place – the higher the player's position is at the end of the tourney, the more points he/she gets.
GG Masters participants, who manage to take the first place as well as reach the final table, are given additional points. For those who complete the event in the 2nd through 10th places, the poker room will present a package of free tickets to these very tournaments in 2021 worth $7 800 each.
The POY leaderboard started on January 5, 2020, and will last till December 31st, meaning the winner will be announced at the end of the year so that there is enough time to accumulate points to become new GG Poker ambassador.
