GGPoker dislodged PokerStars from 1st place in PokerScout’s rankings
GGPoker have knocked out PokerStars from the No.1 spot in PokerScout’s rankings. The historic event occurred last weekend. Before that, Stars were the best in the world for many long years.
Until now, PokerStars were ranked first since 2006. At the beginning of the year, PokerMatch introduced innovative cash tables, thanks to which the room jumped to the top of the ranking, but ultimately, PokerScout didn’t count that traffic.

According to common value of the rating, GGPoker has 5 000 players, while PokerStars has 4 800 players. Stars, however, are ahead of their competitors by 622 players in terms of the number of active players at rush hour.
GGPoker is very likely to remain in first place for a long time to come. It will be largely due to low limits, constant promotions, different leaderboards, and the WSOP Online. The World Series of Poker is expected to have the largest number of online players.
PokerStars will be able to compete closer to the fall. But for this to happen, Stars need to revise their promotions' policy, tournament schedule and much more. Do you think PokerStars will manage to become the No.1 again?
