GGPoker to host the second Omaholic Series in a year

Omaholic Series at GGPoker

GGPoker will launch the third major poker series. Earlier, the room successfully held Hogh Rollers Week and APL, and another online poker festival is to come soon. The Omaholic Series kicks off on June 27 and will run till July 4.

As part of the Omaholic Series, 130 Omaha tournaments will be held and a total of $5 000 000 will be played. It’s quite a large amount considering that it is summer – a non-poker season.

It should be reminded that GGPoker has already hosted a similar series this year. The second edition starts on June 27, but it has a few differences:

  • Buy-in range is wider. The minimum buy-in is $10.50, while the maximum one is $20 300.
  • The minimum guarantee increased to $6 000.

The Omaholic Series Full Schedule can be found on the poker room’s official website. All GGPoker’s Omaha tournaments held in PLO format are played preflop only, and then the game switches to no limit bets.

Omaholic Main Event

A buy-in to the ME will be very democratic: the event will cost you only $52.50. The organizers plan to hold as many as 58 Day 1s (Stage 1), as well as one Last Chance and one Last Minute tourneys. In order to avoid an overlay, more than 8 000 entries should be made.

The first flight day starts on June 27 at 20:35 UTC. It will be of the following structure:

  • Starting stack: 125 BB.
  • Late registration period: 13 levels of 10 minutes each.
  • Stage 1 duration – 15 levels, 10 minutes each. Then, all "survivors" will move to the final stage, taking their stacks.

The Final Stage kicks off on July 4 at 20:30 UTC. Playing the Main Event, as well as other tournaments, you can come across members of the GGPoker OmahaSquad team.
