Global Poker Awards 2019 winners were announced
On 6th March, the GPA organizers finally announced winners in all the categories. The ceremony took place in Las Vegas.
The poker couple in the face of Kristen Bicknell and Alex Foxen traditionally took awards for the Female Player of the Year 2019 and the Player of the Year 2019 second year in succession.
The US player and podcast host Joey Ingram received an award in 2 categories at once: «Journalist of the Year» and «Content of the Year: video».

According to the opinion of the poker players, Stephen Chidwick was recognized the strongest opponent at the poker table, and Jonathan Little became the winner of a similar vote in the nomination «Personality of the Year».
The poker professional and businessman from Malaysia, Paul Phua, was given the «Industry Person of the Year» title, and Robert Campbell from Australia won in the nomination «GPI Breakout Player of the Year».

As for the nomination «Hand of the Year» (Players Choice), the hand, in which Ryan Riess calls rival’s all-in with 10 high during the EPT in Monte Carlo (final table), was determined to be the most exciting.
In addition, Johnny Chan, the holder of 10 WSOP bracelets, was given the Poker ICON Award, and the US player John Cernuto got a separate award (The Hendon Mob Award) for winning cash in 500 tournaments.
