Heads-up battle between Negreanu and Polk starts on 1 November
Daniel Negreanu and Doug Polk scheduled the date of their heads-up battle. It should be reminded that two eminent poker players will fight in a heads-up in order to determine which of them is stronger.
Negreanu and Polk will start their battle on 1 November. The duelists have already agreed on several conditions for this fight. It is striking that poker players will check their game for fairness. This concerns the availability of real-time prompters, solvers and equity calculators.
Heads-up will be broadcasted live, which will delight the audience. However, the match will be shown with hole cards, which will obviously upset the audience, because it is much more interesting to watch the game of professionals with open cards.

Daniel Negreanu personally stipulated such a condition. Daniel doesn't want to give Doug Polk the opportunity to analyze the hands played. Thus, Doug will be able to analyze only those hands in which the players will reach showdown.
Negreanu and Polk agreed on the following terms:
- Match will be held on the two tables with $200/ $400 limits.
- The players have an option to stop match after 12 500 hands and increase the limits after 12 500 hands.
- Starting stacks of battle participants: 100 big blinds.
One of the main questions remains unclear: which poker room will hold this battle. Negreanu offered to play at GGPoker for play chips, but Doug Polk didn’t agree to such offer.
Last week, Polk played a practice heads-up match against Winning Poker Network CEO Phil Nagy. Polk and Nagy played at $10/ $20 limit and Doug had a positive result of given session (+ $2 474).
