Hellmuth finished fifth in WSOP event

"Phil Hellmuth

Phil Hellmuth played at the final table of WSOP Event #9. This player has 15 gold bracelets and he plans to win the 16th trophy at WSOP 2021.

So far, Phil was closest to his goal in Event #9. Despite the fact that Hellmuth was the most famous poker player at the final table, he had the fewest chips in his stack compared to other participants, so it was problematic to take the lead.

As a result, Phil took the 5th place and earned a payment of $81 000. It was obvious that “PokerBrat” didn’t count on such an outcome. There are still many tournaments, so we will definitely see him at the final tables of WSOP 2021.

Tournament champion

As for the winner, Ari Engel took the 1st place. By the way, this is the second gold bracelet in his poker career (he won the first trophy in 2019). At the beginning of the final, Ari didn’t keep pace with Hellmuth, but managed to bring the matter to a victorious end.

In heads-up, Engel outplayed Zachary Milchman and earned $317 000. Two pairs of tens and queens became the winning combination for Ari.
