HendonMob to display online tournament results

Hendonmob website

HendonMob is a statistics website that displays results of live tournaments, as well as prize money won by poker players in each event. The coronavirus pandemic has made adjustments to the conducting of live poker tournaments, and as a result, almost all of them have moved online.

The biggest poker series like WPT and WSOP are currently carrying out online at PartyPoker and GGPoker. It remained to be seen when a major poker series would take place live, so offline specialists have already started re-skilling to become online players.

Given that traditional live poker series now take place online, one may wonder whether it’s worth keeping track of prize money won in online events by analogy to live tournaments. This raised another issue: in online poker, tournament participants play under nicknames rather than real names.

Some poker rooms have already solved this problem. They required their users to play final tables of poker events under real names. Hendonmob representatives announced that only results of online tournaments in which poker players perform using their real names would be displayed on the site.

GGPoker allows its players to use nicknames while playing the WSOP Online events until they reach a final table. However, the room displays the real names of everyone who enters the ITM zone upon completion of the tournament. It’s worth noting that PartyPoker has imposed more serious restrictions: players have to participate in the WPT Online events using their real names throughout the event (from start to finish).

Hendonmob also reported that online event results will not count towards the total earnings of a poker player and in the calculation of the GPI points. Let’s take the Hendonmob profile of Daniel Negreanu as an example. Below, you can see his results of hitting the prize zone of poker tournaments (online results are marked with a blue icon):
