Super Million$ at GGPoker: highlights of the latest tourney

Super Million$

Once a week, GGPoker hosts a Super Million$ tournament with a $10 000 buy-in and a $2 000 000 guarantee. The latest such event brought together 210 participants, including a large number of eminent poker players.

Kristen Bicknell barely escaped the bubble, having taken 31st place and a minimum payout of $21 600. After that, several well-known professionals left the game:

None of them managed to reach the final table. It is also worth mentioning the player who took 20th place. It was Ben Affleck, and many people started to wonder whether it had been the same Ben Affleck. Everything is possible, given that the famous actor loves to play poker.

Who played at the final table?

At the outbreak of the final table, a player under the "Holidaywer" nickname was a chip leader. He is a businessman from the UAE and one of the wealthiest people in the world, meaning that he doesn't play poker to make money. Nevertheless, Holidaywer was serious about the event and played more than 50% of hands.

Applying aggressive poker against regular players didn't turn out devastating for him, and he almost succeeded in winning the tournament. Almost, because the Croatian player with the "LKS28" screen name didn't give him the chance to do it, that is, capture the given event. The last took $396 000 in prize money for emerging victorious.

The final table also featured such famous players as Andras Nemeth (8th place and $51 000), Pablo Silva (6th place and $92 000), and Jason Koon (4th place and $165 000). All of them lost a fight for the Super Million$ top prize before the heads-up stage began.

I’ve been working in the Cardmates team since 2018. Started playing poker the same way most people usually do – socially, with friends and fellow students. I adored those exciting poker nights but never thought my life would be connected with this game, even tangentially.
