Fedor Holz lost €53K in Legends Showdown HU match
Most poker players are obsessed with the idea of winning a gold bracelet, as the World Series of Poker 2020 is taking place online these days. The WSOP 2020 caused Galfond to put his Challenge on pause.
However, the Legends Showdown at RIO Poker is still ongoing, so poker fans, whose bankrolls aren’t that big to play expensive cash games, can take pleasure from watching poker pros play at high stakes.
Legends Showdown
The Legends Showdown features six professionals playing expensive limits (€50 / €100) in heads-up format. In the first round, each participant plays three 750-hand matches against other randomly selected players of the pool.
The player who finishes with a profit, regardless of its size, gets a win. Then, participants with the top four results advance to the semi-finals. There are also cash prizes for the best players in this challenge. The champ will receive 40 000 euros, while the runner-up will be given 20 000 euros.
