Korean player multiplied his buy-in 1,000 times in Colossus tournament at WSOP 2019

Sejin Park 2019

The champion was determined after the five hours of play in Collosus final day. Sejin Park from South Korea became the winner and managed to multiply his buy-in 1,000 times. Participation fee was $400 and Korean player got $400,000 and gold bracelet for the first place. This trophy became the second one for South Korea and Korean players can be pleased with the result.

However, this victory is the first in the open WSOP tournaments. When Sejin Park found out it, he said:

"I actually had no idea I was the first. My friend [Jiyoung Kim] won the ladies event earlier this summer, but knowing I am the first in an open event makes me even happier."

Basically, Sejin plays cash games in Macau and rarely appears in the live tournaments. In an interview with journalists, Park said that he didn’t place high hopes on this event. Thousands of players register in this tournament because of low buy-in and it is extremely difficult to win. However, he managed to do this and won $451,000 along with a prestigious gold bracelet.
