Legends Showdown winner is determined

Legends Showdown at RIO Poker

Finnish grinder Pauli Ayras and Run It Once coach Kevin Rabichow made it to the Legends Showdown finals. The poker players had to play 2 255 hands at RIO Poker to determine the winner.

According to the results of the first heads-up match, Kevin Rabichow took the lead, winning €46 472. Pauli Ayras turned out to be stronger in the second battle, but his result was three times less than Kevin’s (+€13 236).

Despite the fact that Rabichow was ahead of Ayras by €33 000 before the final match, bookmakers still considered Pauli the favorite. At first, their assumption that the Finnish player would win the race was justified. At the start of the third battle, Ayras began to dominate and quickly reduced the gap between him and his opponent.

But, towards the end of the match, Rabichow managed to get over his nerves and eventually brought everything to a victorious end. This, Kevin became the high roller league champion, finishing the battle with €10 796 profit.

RIO Poker Twitch channel viewers will have no time to be bored, as the next heads-up match within the Galfond Challenge starts today. The RIO Poker owner will play against Chance Kornuth, a two-time WSOP bracelet holder and poker coach.

The "duelists" are to play 35 000 PLO hands at $100/$200 limits. If Kornuth wins the challenge, then he will receive $1 million from Phil Galfond.
