ME SCOOP for $1 050: Brazilian player won $920 000 for the 1st place
The Brazilian flag icon is now located in PokerStars game lobby to the right of the nickname of $1 050 Main Event champion at SCOOP. The poker player under the nickname "HayashiJoao" became the winner of this tournament and turned $1 050 into $920 000.
The buy-in for this Main Event was ten times less than the fee for participating in ME for $10 300 with $6 090 000 prize pool. Despite this, the participants of "lower cost" Main Event formed even larger prize pool: $6 475 000.
Such a big total prize amount was generated due to 6 475 entries. 799 prizewinners shared this sum among themselves, depending on their results.
Victory of Brazilian player, or how to turn $1 050 into $920 000
There were no famous poker players at the final table, but the experienced regulars were enough for a spectacular game: "luelue399", Luis Gustavo "gkamei09", "WNDRWMN23", "Oledjan", "Tydarax", Jon "luckyfish89" Clark and Matheus "mpZancan" Zancan.

In less than three hours of hard battle, Joao Hayashi won Main Event for $1 050. In heads-up, the Brazilian player beat the Belgian participant under the nickname "merla888", who earned $655 000 of prize money for the second place.
In the final hand, Joao got an easy victory with A-8 against Q-J, because there were 5-5-A-3-A on board with no chances for the Belgian player:
Hayashi got all the champion’s laurels and the biggest prize money in the tournament: $920 000. This sum completely coincided with the prize of Belarusian player "alexgirs", who earned $920 000 for the first place in Main Event for $10 300.
Thus, Joao Hayashi showed that it wasn’t necessary to play high roller tournaments in order to win $1 000 000. However, don’t forget that tournaments with $6 475 000 prize pool in online poker are held not every day.
