Michael Addamo won two Poker Masters tournaments in a row

​Australian high roller Michael Addamo demonstrated an excellent result in the expensive tournaments of live Poker Masters series 2021.  

The Australian player managed to win two tournaments in a row and became the owner of the coveted purple jacket.

The first tournament Poker Masters #11 - $50 000 No-Limit Hold'em collected 34 entries and formed a prize pool of $1 700 000.

In this tournament, Michael Addamo beat Jason Koon in heads-up and earned $680 000. Jason Koon finished as a runner-up and enriched with $442 000. Apart from the champion, the rest of winners appeared to be participants from the USA.

In the final hand, Jason Koon went all in from the button with his last 18 BB and K♣-6♦, but Michael Addamo called with K♦-J♥.  

8♥-5♠-4♠-4♣-K♥ were dealt on the board. Jason failed to hit a single six, so Michael became the tournament champion.

The next Poker Masters Event #12 - No-Limit Hold'em became one of the main events of the entire series. This tournament with a huge buy-in of $100 000 collected 21 entries. As a result, the prize pool reached the mark of $2 100 000.

Addamo earned $1 160 000 for his incredible victory. In addition, Michael also received an additional $50 000 of prize money for the first place in the series leaderboard, as well as the Poker Masters purple jacket. 

Nick Petrangelo became a runner-up of this event with a payout of $754 000. By the way, the famous high rollers such as Alex Foxen and Mikita Badziakouski also reached the prize zone.

The last hand started with Petrangelo’s raise with K♣-8♦. Addamo called with 7♥-3♣. The following cards were dealt on the flop: 7♣-2♣-2♦. Addamo decided to check, but then he re-raised in response to Petrangelo’s raise. Nick called and 10♥ was dealt on the turn. Addamo checked again, but Petrangelo raised.

Without hesitation, Michael called and 5♣ appeared on the river. Addamo checked once again, but soon he called all-in from Petrangelo and became the champion.
