Negreanu collected $300,000 in a charity tournament

​There is always time in the busy schedule of Daniel Negreanu for the good deeds. Taking advantage of his financial situation and opportunities, Negreanu has been collecting funds fifth year in a row for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This year the poker player united his efforts for the first time with Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) in order to hold an event at the appropriate level.

A non-standard event dedicated to charity was held in Las-Vegas in one of the fashionable casinos. The silent auction and event with $500 buy-in was held during this event.

They managed to collect more than $330,000 thanks to CSOP and the player’s efforts. All money will be donated to St. Jude Hospital, which specializes in fight against cancer.

A lot of celebrities were at the charity event. There were comedian Clayton Fletcher, the star of NFL Jonathan Ogden and the famous poker player Doyle Brunson.

The event was successful and the organizers are going to repeat it on May 11. The poker tournament with $300 buy-in will be conducted and everyone who will donate $100 will be able to take part in it.
