Negreanu missed last chance to win WSOP 2020 bracelet

Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu really wants to win gold bracelet this year. WSOP Online 2020 has already finished, but there is a little chance of "extra- sequel" in Vegas.

This year, Negreanu had only one chance to get a reward online in Global Casino Championship final tournament at WSOP.com. However, Daniel missed this chance.

Global Casino Championship online tournament debuted at WSOP.com and brought together the best players of WSOP Circuit. All players, who won WSOP Circuit, automatically gained the right to participate in the event with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 000 000.

Moreover, the owners of WSOPC rings and top 100 best participants of last year's WSOP POY race had the opportunity to take part in the tournament without rake by paying $10 000 entry fee. The prize money received from all such entries was added to the prize pool of $1 million.

Only 20 players out of 130 participants reached ITM zone. Adam Owen was the last player to leave the tournament without payment (21 place).

GGPoker ambassador Negreanu was very close to the winning his seventh gold bracelet. However, according to the results of this tournament, he failed to become the bracelet owner. He finished ninth as a bubble-boy of the final table and earned $26 643 of prize money.

Andrew Kelsall became the winner and qualified for the championship as a qualifier according to the points scored after he finished fourth in the season leaderboard.
