New tournament format Neymar Jr Kick-Off on PokerStars

Leading poker room PokerStars is in a hurry to please its players with new game formats. For once, the team behind PokerStars decided to optimize the SnG tournament grid.

Stars started to "clean up the mess by removing unpopular SNGs and adding a completely new poker format called Neymar Jr Kick-Off.

Inherently, these are 4-max SNG tournaments of the hyper-turbo progressive knockout format. Poker players are offered to choose from 5 play limits.

Buy-ins in these tournaments range between $2 and $25. The starting stack is 1 000 chips; the blinds will increase every fourth hand.

For knocking opponents out, you will receive 20-25% of the total knockout amount. Note that you will be able to pick up all the bounties after completing all tournament stages (sprints). You can climb the levels for free if you emerge victorious in the sprints.

On top of that, players can earn additional prize money thanks to the bounty multiplier, which ranges from x1 to x6 000.

Neymar Jr Kick-Off tournaments are rebranded Grand Tours, which were previously available in the Stars lobby. To make them more appealing, the operator tied them to the famous footballer and PokerStars ambassador Neymar Jr. It's totally possible that this format will attract fans of football betting.
