One Lucky Player to Receive $100,000 from Douglas Polk's "The Lodge" Room
In the largest land-based poker room in Austin "The Lodge" (Texas) an unprecedented promotion will be held – on the first day of the New Year, one of the players will randomly receive $100,000 in cash. As it is known, the co-founders of the popular place for cash games are poker professionals Douglas Polk, Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen.
The promotion starts on December 1st: during the next month tickets for participation in the main draw of $100,000 will be randomly drawn every hour at the poker tables among active players. On January 1st, the life of one of the promo participants from "The Lodge" will change thanks to a whole lot of money.
According to Doug Polk, no additional rake will be charged during the promotion.
"We hope to offset all costs through business expansion, so we don't impose any additional costs on raffle participants," says the founder of the popular poker resource Upswing Poker.
The poker room is already calling this promotion "the biggest in Texas history". It's hard to disagree, as it will essentially be one of the largest non-bad beat jackpot draws ever to be held in US land-based rooms.
"I believe that many rooms' promotions have very complicated terms and conditions that are difficult to follow. Everything will be simple with us," says Polk.
The Lodge is considered one of the best places to play cash games and tournaments in Texas. Since Polk, Neeme and Owen founded this poker room almost two years ago, it has grown in popularity – it's possible that some of the major poker series events will be held here in the future.
