"Pads1161" Became Player of the Series on WCOOP 2023
The other day, a long and intense series of WCOOP tournaments on PokerStars came to an end. And now there is an answer to an important question – who managed to receive the title of the Best player of this event (and, in addition to the prestigious title, also some good prize money).
For almost the entire festival, Benny Glaser was in first place in the rating, and he achieved incredible results. He won as many as seven events in the 2023 series, setting a historical record. And everyone was inclined to think that he would take the title of best player.
However, he had a worthy opponent: Patrick Leonard also showed excellent results, for example, he won two tournaments almost simultaneously. In his tweet, he wished Benny good luck and that the determination of the leader would come down to the very last tournament. That's what happened in the end.
The most important event for the two competitors was WCOOP Super Tuesday with a large buy-in of $1,050. Benny made two entries into it, but busted out without much success, without even getting into the ITM zone. But Leonard confidently reached the final table, and then was able to win the tournament altogether, defeating the Brazilian Eduardo Silva heads-up.
This became the fourth victory in this WCOOP series for Patrick, and, no less important, it allowed him to become the Best Player of the series. For this he won an impressive prize of 25 thousand dollars.

After the victory, Patrick noted Benny's amazing results, called him a very tough opponent, noted that he only plays on PokerStars, and called him a real champion in his eyes.
