PartyPoker Ambassador won WSOP charity event

​WSOP Online 2021 hold a charity tournament with $1 111 buy-in. The event collected 1 584 entries, which formed a prize pool of $1 760 000. Also, it was raised $176 000 for a charity in Nevada.

Joao Simao entered the Day 2 as a chip leader, but his stack began to get smaller at the final table. Simao (once considered the world best online player according to PocketFives) planned to win the gold bracelet and he managed to do this.

At a time when only 6 participants left in the game, Simao knocked out Nemeth from the game and became the second one in the chip count. Then, Joao beat Roman Hrabec and increased his stack even more.

After that, Tom Shaham was eliminated in the third place and he gave Simao and Sandvik opportunity to fight for the victory in heads-up. In 10 minutes, PartyPoker ambassador outplayed the Norwegian participant and got his first and coveted gold bracelet.
