PartyPoker Million structure was changed

PartyPoker 2020

PartyPoker has changed the structure of its flagship tournament with a $1 000 000 guarantee. The room improved the structure, and now, it will be easier for players to participate in the given tourney.

Earlier, participants of the tournament could choose which of several dozen Day 1s to play. Flights used to take place several times a day throughout the week, and it was also possible to qualify for the event through the satellite for $2,2. The selection system turned out to be too complicated for casual users.

PartyPoker modified the structure of the PartyPoker Million and almost went back to basics. This tournament remains to be a multi-day competition, but now, it will have only seven Day 1s, and the buy-in of each such flight will be equal to $215.

The final day will now take place on Monday, and all the survivors of Day1s will compete in it. Each player who participates in Day1 is given a stack of 1 000 000 chips; the levels last 20 minutes, starting with 5 000/10 000 blinds. The duration of the levels was doubled.

You can play several Day 1s, but only one of your highest scores will be counted in the final day. Satellites to the PartyPoker Million remain in effect: you can win seats in Day1 worth $215 through the qualifying tournament for $22.

One may also wonder whether the tournament will avoid an overlay. A minimum of 5 000 participants should take part in the event to cover the guarantee of $1 000 000, which is an average of 715 people in Day 1a. On June 8, for example, the first flight brought together only 220 players, 15 of which moved to the final day:
