PartyPoker MILLION was held without overlay for the first time

Since PartyPoker team returned the legendary PartyPoker MILLION tournament, the problems with its holding arose immediately.

Thus, the first PartyPoker MILLION tournament had to be cancelled right during the play due to the failures in the client's operation. The tournament eventually took place for the second time, however it was held with $68 000 overlay. Then, the next Sunday tournament was carried out with $100 000 overlay, and a week later the overlay increased to $130 000.

PartyPoker team took measures in order to attract more players for this tournament and changed the satellite structure for PartyPoker MILLION. With regard to this change, every player got the opportunity to play in this tournament for free.

This initiative had a positive impact on the overlay reducing at PartyPoker MILLION. The cancellation of Sunday tournament on 9 February (due to the surge in traffic) could have a negative effect, however this Sunday (on 16 February) the guarantee at PartyPoker MILLION was unexpectedly beaten by $57 430.   

The player under the nickname “AbejlogluBele” became the winner and earned $130 150 as a result of the deal (when 3 players remained in the game). The poker player “bite_me” became the runner-up of the tournament and got $112 000. “BuddyRW” finished third and he enriched with $105 000 as a result of the deal.

It is unknown what exactly helped PartyPoker to finally beat the claimed guarantee in PartyPoker MILLION. It’s possible that Coral Poker’s transfer to PartyPoker network increased the number of players in this tournament, or the free satellites bore fruits.
