Patrick Leonard raffled his WPT Rising Star win in a freeroll
PartyPoker ambassador Patrick Leonard has achieved significant success in online poker. The British player is the third-best MTT player according to the PocketFives ranking in 2020.
In September, Leonard was actively grinding tournaments within WPT Online at PartyPoker. As part of the series, the room launched special leaderboards, and Patrick took second place in one of them. That leaderboard was called the WPT Rising Star.
As for Leonard's main success at the WPT Online, the poker player made it to the final table of the Micro Main Event and earned $10 000 for 8th place. This allowed him to secure second place on the leaderboard with a total guarantee of $25 000 that was divided among 10 players.
For the second place on the WPT Rising Star leaderboard, Leonard received $6 000 in prize money. He donated the entire amount to the needs of freeroll players. Patrick expressed his intention to give the winning back to the poker community on Instagram. The guy reported that there would be the $6K freeroll for a maximum of 10 000 players with a bounty offered on his head.
The Free Tournament with a $6 000 prize pool took place last night at PartyPoker. A total of 5 052 players joined the freeroll and Patrick Leonard finished the game in 2 583rd place. The poker player who knocked out Leonard received a bounty on the professional’s head.
If someone did not have time to play that freeroll, don't get upset. PartyPoker will hold four more similar freerolls, as 5 ambassadors have taken prize places on the leaderboards.
There will be Mikita Badziakouski’s freeroll today at 4 pm (UTC). You can find this free tournament in the poker lobby by the keyword «Mikita's». The prize pool is $1 000; the player who knocks Mikita Badziakouski out of the freeroll will receive $22 as a bounty.
