Patrick Leonard Won Two WCOOP Titles in a Couple of Hours
The 2023 World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) series is coming to an end on PokerStars. Throughout its duration, this festival delighted all the fans with a large number of interesting events and news. The last rounds of tournaments were no exception. British poker pro Patrick "pads1161" Leonard has achieved yet another achievement: in just a few hours, he became the champion in two tournaments at once.
The first one was the World Championship of Heads-Up NLHE tournament with a buy-in of $5,200, where he met Brazilian "neverstandard" in heads-up. Leonard confidently completed the finals and received $80,500 in prize money for the first place.
And after a few hours, Leonard again found himself in the heads-up of another event. This time it was the $109 Fixed-Limit Holdem 6-Max tournament. Now Britain's Daniel "deepincidurr" Dove stood between Leonard and the WCOOP title. But as in the tournament before that, Leonard again became the best and won the title and $4,011 in prize money.
Loving the WCOOP grind so far. Very fortunate to have won my 13th and 14th COOP titles in the last 2 days in the World Championship of Heads Up and Limit Holdem haha... We're not even half way through now so if you're running bad keep grinding and plenty time to turn it round. pic.twitter.com/1c4Kc39SDi

It should be noted that these were not the only WCOOP final tables played by Leonard. He also finished fifth in the $1,050 NL 2-7 Single Draw event. Benny "RunGodlike" Glaser eventually won that tournament. The win was his 11th WCOOP triumph and 21st COOP win overall, and Benny is officially named the best Player on the series this year.
