Phil Galfond organizes Legends Showdown high roller games
Legends Showdown may become unofficial world high stakes cash game championship. The first such championship will take place at Run It Once Poker in the nearest time.
Phil Galfond wrote on Twitter about his plans to organize a series of NLH high stakes duels. The structure of tournament is still unknown, but it's most likely that it will be something like the football championship play-offs: 1/8, 1/4 semi-final and final. Eight players will be invited to Legends Showdown 2020, and the winner will get an additional cup.
At the moment, the names of the first three participants are already known: Run It Once trainer Kevin Rabichow, the Swedish reg Mikael Thuritz and the famous player Wiktor "limitless" Malinowski. Cardmates will regularly publish the list of new players who will join this battle.

According to Galfond’s words, each player will get a personalized avatar for the duration of competition. The viewers will also be able to monitor the progress of events on Twitch. It is likely that Phil won’t participate in these games, otherwise his name would become the first one in the list of participants.
The game will be held exclusively at high stakes in a heads-up format without rake. Traditionally, Run It Once Poker will be the venue for Galfond’s championship. It is worth noting that RIO Poker is showing a record traffic these days.
