Phil Ivey leads $50K Poker Players Championship

Phil Ivey WSOP 2019One of the most expensive tournaments at the WSOP is $50 000 Poker Players Championship which has collected 74 entries this year. It allowed the prize fund to reach the mark of $3 552 000, and the winner is guaranteed to receive over $1 000 000.

Only 38 players remained in the event after the second game day was complete. There are enough bracelet holders among them and this is not a surprise for a tournament of this level. At the moment, the chip leader of the event is Phil Ivey, who practically has not participated in poker tournaments this year.

The litigation of Borgata casino against Ivey continues, therefore perhaps his game pause is associated with this case. However, the poker player arrived in Las Vegas for the jubilee World Series of Poker. He has already managed to play a couple of tournaments and reached ITM three times (small payouts). Now he has a chance not only to get to the final table, but also win a gold bracelet since he will start the final play day as a chipleader.
