Poker players Oliver Biles and David Sands got infected with coronavirus

Coronavirus pandemic has a colossal impact on the lives of the people around the world. Many famous personalities (actors, musicians, athletes, etc.) got infected with this disease. They are self-isolated now.

The growing rates of coronavirus also influenced the poker community. The player from the United States David Sands wrote a message on his Twitter that he got infected with COVID-19.

He also added that he had rather atypical symptoms for this virus (wet cough, a slight temperature and a little weakness), which stopped him from doing the test immediately.

Despite the improvement of general state of health, David decided to have a medical checkup. When the test showed positive result, the poker player self-isolated for 8 days. According to his words, he feels great now.

David Sands earned over $3 000 000 online over his entire career (according to PocketFives).

Another poker player from the UK, Oliver Biles, also wrote a message on his Twitter that he was diagnosed with COVID-19:

However, Oliver got better. He thanked the doctors, as well as his girlfriend, for taking care of him when he was very ill. He also encouraged all to maintain the quarantine in order not to infect other people.  

Oliver Biles is a British poker player, traveler and blogger. He has his own channel on YouTube, where he posts the reviews, broadcasts, and talks about his impressions of the poker series.
