PokerStars launched client in Pennsylvania

PokerStars Pennsylvania 2019

November 6, 2019 is a significant day for regulated online poker in the United States. After two-day test run in Pennsylvania, PokerStars fully launched PokerStars PA client. This is the fifth state with an access to online poker after Black Friday.

On November 4 and 5, eight-hour and ten-hour test sessions were held in Pennsylvania, which appeared to be very successful. According to PocketFives data, all the planned tournaments exceeded the announced guarantees, and one of the events with $1 000 guarantee collected the prize pool of $3 200.

PokerScout traffic monitoring site recorded a 24-rush hour of 784 players, which is four times more than the rush hour of 178 players at PokerStars NJ. It is also nearly twice as many as WSOP.com has. WSOP.com, in turn, has a clear advantage in servicing a merged players’ pool from several states.

The players from Pennsylvania are pleased with returning of online poker to their state. PokerStars Ambassador Jennifer Shahade, who was born there, also shares this view. She played at the tables of the first PokerStars PA tournaments.

The launch of a full-fledged client has extended the list of suggestions for the players in comparison with work in a test mode. Tournaments, cash games and sit-and-go are offered in different limits. The new players can wait for the pleasant first deposit bonuses ($30 as a gift or 100% deposit bonus up to $600), daily $1 000 freerolls until November 16th and Welcome Freeroll with $20 000 guarantee on November 17th.

The game for real money and play chips are available in Pennsylvania.

The return of poker to Pennsylvania brings American players one step closer to return to the general pool.
