PokerStars legally enters the Swiss gambling market

PokerStars enters the Swiss gambling market

The year before last, the well-known poker room PokerStars was forced to leave the Swiss gambling market.

This has happened due to the new laws that allow to provide gambling services only to the land-based gambling operators. That is to say, you could only provide your online gambling services in Switzerland if you have a live casino in the country.

Nevertheless, PokerStars eventually figured out how to enter the Swiss gambling market without violating local gambling laws.

Starting from 1 July, PokerStars will cooperate with the Swiss gambling operator known as Casino777, through which the Swiss users will be able to play in PokerStars lobby.

The only condition is to have an account in this online casino. This is done for the operator to be able to legally carry out all transactions in the country in accordance with the local laws. This operator will also partially perform the functions of the poker room support service.

For now, the Swiss players will be able to play at PokerStars via PC or smartphones with Android operating system. Mobile version is also expected to be released for iOS devices.
