PokerStars VR now supports Slots and Blackjack

PokerStars VR 2020

PokerStars VR is an innovative game that brings together an online environment and live poker, offering to play poker in virtual reality. Just like in live poker, you can take up chips and cards, chat and interact with your opponents at the table, order food and drinks, etc.

This product was created 2 years ago in partnership with Lucky VR, a company that develops virtual reality software. PokerStars is still the only poker room offering poker games in VR format.

In addition to poker, a casino environment will be added to VR, namely blackjack and slots. These two games have been integrated into PokerStars VR as part of the latest updates. PokerStars VR enters the online casino market for the first time.

According to the Stars representatives, PokerStars VR has been operating for over 2 years, and a central aspect of their business is active interaction with the customers. The community asked to add blackjack and slots, and Stars complied with the request.

The game can be downloaded via such virtual reality platforms as Viveport and Oculus. It's also possible to download it on Steam, which is a leading platform engaged in distributing digital content. To feel the benefits of VR games, you need to use a VR headset and touch controllers (Valve Index, Oculus Rift, or HTC Vive). The game also supports live streaming platforms: Twitch and Oculus Live.

Despite it's free-to-play, you can shop within it (i.e. buy stuff for $1.99 or above). PokerStars VR has been regularly updated. For example, Sit & Go tournaments were added, new themes appeared, the platform was monetized, etc. But, blackjack and slots mark one of the massive product improvements to date.
