Polk won over a million against Negreanu

The poker community actively follows the challenge between two famous players Douglas Polk and Daniel Negreanu.

Recently, Negreanu has been actively reducing the gap in the battle against Polk. However, in the last session he lost $298 980 for 770 hands.

Thanks to such a magnificent result, Polk is now ahead of Negreanu by more than a million dollars. In total, the guys played 17 870 hands out of 25 000 planned ones.

After the big victory, Polk commented on the challenge on his Twitter page:

Negreanu didn’t comment on his big defeat. This is not surprising, considering the fact that he has wrote a post on his Twitter page that he intends to finish this session with a $228 000 profit. Apparently, something went wrong…

Now, it will be incredibly difficult for the Canadian player to regain his advantage that he didn’t have from the very beginning of challenge. The poker players still have 7 130 hands to play and most of the poker community is inclined to believe that Polk will become the winner.
