Rob Yong is outraged by PokerStars actions
The rivalry between PartyPoker and PokerStars has been going on for years. Both poker rooms try to comply with their users' requests, organizing major tournament series. Moreover, you can often see the same poker pros at the finals of expensive events held in the rooms. However, Party and Stars quite often disturb one another.
The other day, Rob Yong resented the fact that Stars would launch the EPT Online 2020 Main Event on the same day the Caribbean Online 2020 Main Event kicks off at PartyPoker.
Moreover, the Main Events of these two series will have the same buy-ins and guarantees. Yong reported it on his Twitter page. He also «thanked» Patrick Leonard for ruining the day with bad news.
Initially, the tweet was slightly different. Rob Yong deleted the old tweet in which he also mentioned Daniel Negreanu, Phil Galfond, and the Director of MPN Network. Rob told them that what Stars had done was their prime example of responding to a proposal for cooperation.
However, the PartyPoker's partner decided that such words would be too strong and, as a true citizen of Great Britain, showed a more restrained reaction. In turn, he is no longer able to change the Main Event CPP Online 2020 date.
Obviously, PokerStars uses all available means in terms of the rivalry with other rooms and, according to Rob Yong, Stars do not want to cooperate even toward fighting against bots and dishonest play.
